When you contact us, you will speak to Gill James who is very experienced with all breeds of Rescue dogs and used to work With Animal Concern West. She is based in Carlisle and will take some details regarding your problem with your dog. She will then arrange either an assessment visit for a 1 hour or 3 hour full session, depending on the circumstances.

Martin Gleadow is our canine behaviourist who has many years experience working with North West Staffie rescue with Bob Whittall since 1990. He works with Animal Concern West Cumbria and as well as working with dogs in their kennels in Workington travels to newly rehomed dogs for both rescues to solve behavioural issues with all breeds from Terriers to Great Danes. We work with owners in their homes to solve all aspects of behavioural problems in dogs covering general nervousness, nuisance barking, aggression, obsession and pack leadership issues. We use kind, calm, assertive methods and specialize in stopping your dog from pulling on the lead and then train you how to do his, making life far more pleasant for both of you. We cover Carlisle and surrounding areas.
